The Twelve Days of Crown Couriers

As we reach the end of another incredible year for Crown Couriers, we’re reflecting on twelve exciting events that have happened in 2018..

Starting at number twelve, are the twelve fantastic months that our control centre has been manned 24/365 by our knowledgeable operations team, ready to respond to each and every time-critical, sameday request. That’s 52 weeks, 365 days, 8760 hours and 525,600 minutes to be precise!

In October, we relaunched our LinkedIn page as a place brimming with information about our services. So at number eleven are the whopping 11,000+ impressions our content has received since we returned to the platform. That means increasing numbers of people are discovering how we can help to make their business deliveries more efficient. Having also launched our new website in October, we’ve seen a ten percent increase in visitors to the site. Incredibly, more and more people are viewing our brand-new driver page, important in ensuring we have a strong pool of drivers joining our nationwide fleet.

Last month, nine amazing volunteers gave up their Saturday to learn a brand-new skill and equip our office with nine newly-qualified first aiders. And at eight, are the number of team members making up our restructured after-hours operation. This was an incredibly important change in ensuring we continue to handle ‘through the night’ deliveries with the efficiency of our sameday consignments.

As the countdown continues, we saw the replacement of seven old PC’s with brand-new ‘thin clients’, a small part of the significant investment made during 2018. Starting with the implementation of a brand-new IT team, we upgraded our internal infrastructure to safeguard connectivity and enable the development of more efficient internal processes. We also invested in market-leading technologies to ensure our customer-focused operation is entirely scalable, including route optimisation software and dynamic email and SMS messaging.

At Halloween, we raised an incredible six hundred pounds for local charity, Changes. We also launched a brand-new values recognition programme, enabling our teams to nominate colleagues doing an exceptional job of delivering our company values; deliver more, rise to the challenge, initialise potential, visionary thinking and exceed expectation. This week, our managing director was pleased to crown five very worthy winners, each awarded with a £50 Love2Shop voucher.

We added four new case studies to our website to highlight the ways that we’ve been able to help businesses, across a wide range of industries, to operate more efficiently.

Number three represents the three-strong team who worked hard to relaunch our warehouse operation back in September. The trio made sure the warehouse facility was fully functional, in time to support one of our key customers with their end of year operation.

At number two are the impressive double-page features which Crown Couriers placed in the publication Forwarder Magazine, celebrating the launch of our 11,500ft2 warehouse facility and promoting our nationwide sameday delivery service. And in at number one, can only be the launch of our brand-new website. Providing our customers with an enhanced online journey, the new site makes it easier to find out more information about the services we offer, our commitment to innovation and the technologies that enable us to deliver a bespoke sameday delivery solution that meets our customers’ unique needs.

It’s been quite a year! We look forward to working with customers new and existing in 2019.
